CallReply

Local shops

The customer in store first, the one on the phone is not forgotten

When you are ringing up, advising or wrapping, picking up means making the person in front of you wait. CallReply replies by text to the caller, from the shop's own number.

Call back: Mr Bennett about his order

What changes at the counter

The shop keeps moving. The customer in front of you is served, the caller gets a text from the shop.

Serve without interruption

The customer in front of you keeps your full attention. The phone can ring, a reply still goes out.

Questions arrive in writing

"Do you have this one in a size 5?" Callers often reply to your text with their exact question, and you answer when things are quiet.

"Got this in a size 5?"

A message in your own voice

You write the text with the shop's name. An English template is available for visitors and tourists.

A clear view of activity

The web space shows how many calls are missed each week. You see when the phone rings the most.

Missed calls per week

Three steps, no hardware

  1. 01 Install CallReply on the phone The shop's phone, running Android 8.0 or later.
  2. 02 Write a short message Give the shop's name and say you will call back soon. The preview shows how many SMS segments it uses.
  3. 03 Let it run Every missed call gets its text, and everything is logged in history.

Why a text rather than voicemail?

Many callers hang up before the beep. A text arrives even if they left nothing, and they can reply in their own time. For a shop, it is often a quick question: opening times, an item in stock, an order to collect. You read it between customers and answer when the store is calm.

The message adapts to known customers

If you allow contact sync, the text can open with a regular customer's first name using the {first_name} variable. For an unknown number, the message stays clean, with no blank gap or odd wording. The name also appears in history and on the dashboard.

Which shops is it for?

Shops run by one person: clothing, florist, bookshop, wine shop, delicatessen, shoe repair. The phone often rings just as a customer is waiting at the till. CallReply means you no longer have to choose between the two.

Shops that take orders or bookings by phone, such as a caterer or a bakery before the holidays. At busy times, every missed call gets at least a reply, and the history doubles as a call back list.

Good to know

Not a disguised promotion

Replying to a customer who just called is not prospecting. If you slip "20% off this weekend" into the message, prospecting rules apply: prior consent for consumers and a free way to refuse, such as STOP.

The STOP list

Wholesalers, couriers, personal numbers: put them on the STOP list. They will never receive a text, and a customer who no longer wants contact can be added from the phone or the web.

Your data

Data is hosted in France, each kind with its own retention period. After that, history keeps dates and statuses, not numbers. Contacts sync only with your consent; export and erasure from "My data".

Hidden numbers

A withheld number cannot receive a text: there is no number to reply to. The call is only listed in history.

Frequently asked questions

Does the customer see an unknown number?

No. The text comes from your own number, the one they just dialled. They recognise it and can reply as usual.

Can I stop texts on Sundays?

Yes: add Sunday to your days off. Sunday calls then receive your closing message, or, in scheduled mode, nothing is sent on Sunday and everything goes out on Monday at the chosen time.

How is CallReply priced?

One subscription, monthly or yearly, with every feature. You cancel from the app, and access stays open until the end of the paid period.

What about manual replies?

They are free, even without a subscription: from the history, open a missed call and send a reply in one tap.
