CallReply

Garages and body shops

Hands deep in an engine, your customer still gets your reply

At the garage, the phone rings during an oil change, a strip-down or a paint job. CallReply replies by text from the workshop's number, and you call back once your hands are free.

Call back: Mrs Morgan at your break

What changes in the workshop

The workshop replies. The customer gets a text from the garage and spells out the request in writing.

No need to drop everything

You finish tightening that bolt instead of running for the phone. The customer gets a text and waits.

Customers know about their car

Someone calling to ask if their car is ready gets an instant reply. They know a call back with news is coming.

"Is my car ready?"

They can reply in writing

The text comes from your number, so the customer just replies. They often spell out the request: a tyre quote, an MOT booking.

New customers stay with you

A driver who has broken down calls several garages. The one that answers, even by text, has a better chance of hearing back.

Ready before the workshop opens

  1. 01 Install the app on the workshop phone The Android phone that takes customer calls is all you need, with no extra hardware.
  2. 02 Exclude it from battery optimisation On Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo or Huawei, the in-app guide shows the setting to change.
  3. 03 Pick missed or rejected calls You decide which calls trigger the text: missed, rejected, or both.

Phone left on the bench, covered in grease?

No problem. CallReply reads the Android call log and sends the text even with the phone locked. If the phone switched off during the day, missed calls are caught up when it restarts. You never need to touch the screen with dirty gloves: everything goes out on its own, and you check the history at coffee time.

Replying by hand to one customer

Some calls need a personal answer, such as confirming that a part has arrived. From the history, open the missed call and send a manual reply in one tap. This feature is free, even without a subscription, and the message always goes out from your own number.

Which garages is it for?

Independent garages and small repair workshops where the owner also works under the lift. There is no switchboard, no permanent front desk, and the phone moves from pocket to pocket. An automatic text keeps in touch with the customer without stopping the job.

Body shops, tyre centres and quick-fit workshops, where compressors drown out the ringtone. Customers waiting for a quote or to collect their vehicle know their call was logged and that a call back will follow.

Good to know

Keep it a reply

This text answers a customer who called you: it is not prospecting. Keep it informational, with the garage's name. A winter tyre offer added to the message falls under prospecting rules: prior consent and a free way to unsubscribe.

The STOP list

Parts suppliers, partner tow trucks, insurers: add their numbers to the STOP list. They will never receive a text. You manage it from the phone or the web space.

Your data

Hosting in France and a set retention period for each kind of data. After that, history keeps dates and statuses without numbers. Contact sync requires your consent, and "My data" lets you request export and erasure.

Hidden numbers

When a customer calls from a withheld number, there is no number to text. CallReply sends nothing, but the call stays visible in history.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a new number or line?

No. The text goes out from the SIM in the workshop phone. No new line, no switchboard and no third-party SMS gateway.

The garage gets lots of calls. Is there a limit?

Yes, and you set it: a daily SMS cap, a minimum gap between two sends, and only one text per number per day.

Can I see activity from the office?

Yes. The web client space shows missed calls and texts sent, delivered and failed, with charts over 7, 30 or 90 days.

Which Android version do I need?

Android 8.0 or later. The app downloads from callreply.fr, and the Google Play release is in preparation.
