iOS does not let any app read the call log or send a text by itself. CallReply's simple mode checks your rules, then opens Messages with your text pre-filled: you tap Send. An automatic mode uses the Shortcuts app, depending on your carrier's missed call alert.
Face-to-face professions: coaches, therapists, trainers, financial advisers, consultants. In these jobs, picking up mid-session is not an option. Keep the text generic, with no detail at all about the reason for the appointment.

No. CallReply uses the number and SIM of your Android phone. No new line and no third-party SMS gateway.
Yes: missed calls, rejected calls, or both. Rejecting a call during a session can therefore trigger the reply if you want it to.
Partly: days off have their own message, and scheduled mode sends every text at the time you choose. The rest of the time the text is the same: write it so that it is accurate at any moment, such as “I will call you back as soon as I can”.
